The cattle feeding business is unique because we are not dealing with something you can produce and put on a shelf or in a warehouse. We have always felt very strongly that the Blonde d'Aquitaine breed has been very under-estimated. We were approached last year by a representative from Laura's Lean Beef in Kentucky to finish our own cattle through their program.

They are a company retailing high yielding, lean and naturally fed animals. We have been finishing our own calves for several years, offering off-farm beef sales. MacKay Country Meats has been retailing our beef out of their store in Didsbury. We decided to contract to Laura's Lean Beef and have been very pleased.
